The Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival’s Patches has found a new home with BIA business Interior Moves, overall winner of the invasion’s 2018 business competition for scarecrow decorating. Jamie Baskerville accepted the award on behalf of Interior Moves during the Meaford Chamber of Commerce After 5 on Thursday, October 18.
Competition chair Mary Solomon presented awards to winners in four categories and to two honourable mentions, thanking all of 50 businesses for their western-style displays in celebration of the 22nd annual invasion.
Winner of the indoor display sponsored by the Meaford Chamber of Commerce was Rice Home Hardware; of the outdoor display sponsored by The Meaford Independent, Reg Noble Used Cars, with an honourable mention for the Scotia Bank display. Winner of the window display sponsored by Bayshore Broadcasting was Interior Moves with an honourable mention for Dean’s Carpet One Floor & Home.
The overall winner Interior Moves was presented with the Best-of-the Best Patches award to display for the coming year.
