Staff
There are always great activities going on in the Junior department of the Meaford Public Library. This fall, staff have organized a full slate of fun for kids of all ages.
On Thursday, October 25, attend a French Halloween Party. From 6 to 7 p.m., the Junior Library will host a special Halloween event en français in a partnership with the Canadian Parents for French – Meaford Chapter. No charge.
Then on Saturday, October 27, the Halloween spirit continues with Pumpkin Decorating. Beginning at 1 p.m., you can design and decorate a miniature pumpkin with a variety of supplies. Take your pumpkin home to celebrate the Halloween season! $2 per pumpkin.
To get ready for the big night on October 31, come to the Junior Library for a Costume Swap. Throughout the month of October, bring in a gently used costume to share and/or take one that is new to you. No charge.
For the teens, cooking is on the menu in November. Beginning on Thursday, November 1 at 4 p.m., join us for Hot Stuff! Cooking for Teens in the Teen Room to mix, blend, stir and eat. You’ll create all types of delicious treats from simple recipes. Perfect to do with your friends! This five-week activity runs for five Thursdays in November. All supplies provided – no charge.
And that’s not everything that is happening in the Junior Library. We have Between the Pages Book Club, weekly Story Time, Postcards for Peace, and Lego, Chess, and Checkers Clubs. Come by, meet your friends and make new connections. For more information, call 519-538-1060 ext. 1125 or go to https://www.meaford.ca/kids-place.html
