The Meaford Farmers’ Market team is very excited for its 12th season, which will kick off on Friday, June 1 from 3-7 p.m., and every Friday thereafter until October 5.
Located at the Rotary Harbour Pavilion, the Meaford Farmers’ Market showcases some of the best tastes, arts, crafts, and sounds that Meaford and the surrounding area has to offer. This season the Meaford Farmers’ Market will once again offer a wide array of marvellous edibles including: a diversity of fresh vegetables, fruits, meats and fish, honey, maple syrup, dehydrated snacks, salsas, jams, jellies, relishes and chutneys, baked goods, olives and olive oil, homemade fudge and chocolates, dried and fresh-cut herbs and flowers. There will also be lots of arts and crafts such as paintings, cards, hand-turned pens, various wood products, and handmade stoneware.
Visit the market and enjoy a meal from one of the prepared food vendors, including Sail Restaurant & Catering Co., Sheayer’s Catering with their Syrian cuisine, Koreann’s Kitchen with Korean cuisine, and Mojo’s Feel-Good Food with their Indian cuisine. Sit down with a nice meal and/or treat and listen to one of the many local talented musicians that will be providing music this season.
“We are excited to announce that Market Chef Erin Shepherd will be returning to bless us with her culinary skills again this summer! Market Chef Erin will be preparing delicious dishes which can be sampled, featuring various ingredients found at the market,” said organizers.
