Obituary:  Gain, Charles NelsonPeacefully, at West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Saturday, December 16th, 2017, in his 81st year, survived by his wife Margaret Sarah, and his brother Cameron Gain and wife Pauline of Welland, Ontario. Loving father to Kathleen Armstrong of Kingston, Ontario, Jason Gain and his wife Melissia of Seattle, WA, and Dana Gain of Milton, Ontario.  Stepfather to Wendy Davis and husband Peter, Cathy Davis and husband Jeff, all of Toronto, and Doug Waffle and his partner Brenda of Huntsville.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Gary, Robert, Dylan, Ashley, Emily, Lindsay, and Alex.

Nelson’s lifelong passion was flying and over the course of his life he built 3 airplanes. His career spanned a variety of professions including banking, accountancy, executive for an advertising agency, owner of a multi-location franchise that he founded, Paint-A-Car Collision, real estate broker, and owner/operator of an ultralight flight school. 

At Nelson’s request cremation has already taken place, however a graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto in the spring with details announced closer to the date.  Memorial donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre (https://wpshcf.com/donation/) and the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada (http://www.alzheimer.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
