On Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at approximately 1:31 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a fail to remain collision on Berry Street in the Municipality of Meaford.

A citizen alerted police after they had witnessed a red Ford sport utility vehicle back into an unattended parked vehicle on Berry Street.  The driver of the Ford exited his vehicle, examined the damage to the parked vehicle, a black Ford SPE, then returned to his vehicle and left the area.

Later that day, approximately 5:05 p.m., the officer located the suspect vehicle parked at a residence on Sykes St., S., in Meaford.  Both vehicles had sustained damage as a result of the collision.

The 18 year old Meaford man has been charged with Failing to Remain under the Highway Traffic Act.  He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 16, 2015.
