The Annual General Meeting of the Meaford Community Theatre will be held at 7 pm, January 14, in the Terrace Room of Meaford Hall.
For the past five years, this amateur group has achieved continuing success, notably with its well-received annual Remembrance Day productions as well as its spring plays, two of which – Harvest Moon and Andrew Gawley, The Man With Steel Hands – were written by perennial Deputy Mayor Harley Greenfield.
These productions also involve local set designers, costumers, directors, crew and actors, including many students at GBSS, all of whom have been able to experience the professional venue of Meaford Hall.
At the AGM, President Wayne Bryant will review past productions (particularly the outstanding success of 2014’s Andrew Gawley) and will be announcing plans for this year’s play, Arsenic and Old Lace, with performances in late April. Guest speaker for the evening will be Rob Potter, Past President of the neighbouring Thornbury Theatre Company. Refreshments will be served.
For further information, please contact Wayne Bryant, President (519-538-2588) or Carol Hethrington, Secretary (519-599-5846).
