The Apple Harvest and Craft Show have made a generous donation of $5,000 to the Meaford Curling Club as part of their ongoing mandate to support local initiatives and associations.
“The club is extremely grateful for this donation as they face dramatically rising hydro costs, and are forced to spend a considerable sum of money in an effort to counter this. It is a challenge facing all curling clubs and ice rinks in Ontario, some of which may be forced to cease operations as a result. However, the Meaford club is confident that they will be able to survive this threat, thanks in part to the Apple Harvest and Craft Show donation,” said the club.
There was a recent presentation of the cheque, and shown in the photo are members of the Apple Harvest executive.
