Two-Time JUNO & Polaris Prize Winner Dan Mangan Coming to Meaford


Dan Mangan is a two-time JUNO award winning and two-time Polaris Music Prize listed musician and songwriter.

Mangan has been making music for more than 12 years, recently as Dan Mangan + Blacksmith. Since the recent release ‘Unmake’, he has been touring Europe, now returning to Canada for a string of dates in including Meaford on August 18.

Mangan has toured extensively in North America, Europe, and Australia, and has released four studio LPs as well as a handful of other EPs. He has shared stages and toured with many musicians including: Father John Misty, Japandroids, Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Missy Elliott, Lucinda Williams, Broken Social Scene, Arlo Guthrie, Stars, Cake, Metric, The Decemberists, Timber Timbre, Sarah Harmer, Elliott Brood, Alison Krauss, Jackson Browne, Jenn Grant, KD Lang, Mother Mother, Great Lake Swimmers, Basia Bulat, Hannah Georgas, Hey Rosetta!, Sam Roberts Band, Jason Collett, Bahamas, Rich Aucoin, Zeus, Vampire Weekend, City & Colour, Yukon Blonde, Tegan and Sara and more!

He lives in Vancouver with his wife and son. With Jesse Zubot, he scored Hector And The Search For Happiness, a feature film starring Simon Pegg. Dan has also infrequently been a contributing writer for some publications such as Huffington Post Canada, Montecristo Magazine, and The Guardian (Arts section).
