Fisherman Charged With Trespassing

notrespassing 270On April 27, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a trespassing complaint at a residential property on the 7th Line in the Municipality of Meaford.

Police arrived and observed numerous No Trespassing signs posted along the property line. While police were at the scene, an unknown male wearing fishing gear exited the property. He acknowledged that he had seen the No Trespassing signs.

A 35-year old male from Tavistock was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Entering Premises When Entry Prohibited under the Trespass to Property Act (TPA).

Grey County OPP remind the public that you must have the property owner’s permission to enter the property for any recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, etc. Failing to do so may result in charges.
