The Meaford Public Library is looking for young entrepreneurs to participate in their Youth Entrepreneurship Week activities over the March break holiday.
“Teens, have you ever dreamed of starting and running your own business? Do you have an idea for a new venture and would like some tips and advice? Then plan to attend the Youth Entrepreneurship Week activities at the Meaford Public Library from March 15 to 18,” suggests the library.
Each day from 1 to 3 pm, teens can enjoy a lunch and presentations by local business people on the benefits and challenges of operating your own business – all completely free of charge.
Teens will hear from local business representatives including: 365 Sports, See Sawyer Run, Amici Pizzeria, Meredith’s Ginger Syrup, Grey Bruce Bee Products, Ironwood Coffee, and Cottage Country North Preserves. As well, Councillor Jaden Calvert, Jane Phillips of the Business Enterprise Centre, and Heather Saunders of Helping You Reach for the Stars will talk about raising money, brainstorming ideas, plus more tips and advice.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Week is a partnership of the Meaford Public Library, the Meaford Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Meaford. Pre-registration is required for this free week of activities. Please contact Lori Pierce at the Meaford Public Library to register: (519) 538-1060 ext. 1125 or email: lpierce@meafordlibrary.on.ca
