With Thanksgiving having come and gone, 22 members of Meaford’s 55+ Club ventured out on a cold, wet Tuesday (October 13) for some autumn sightseeing.
They carpooled to the dock in Collingwood where a delightful boat named the Huronic waited to take them out onto Georgian Bay. The scenery of the autumn leaves on the ski slopes was picturesque from this new vantage point.
Artists in the group delighted at the lighthouse in its unique state of disrepair.
“We were more than ready for a hot cup of tea and nice meal at the Crystal Buffet when the trip was over. Thank you to the captain and amazing crew of the Huronic for permitting us to have their last sail of the season,” said the club.
Upcoming events in the club will include a movie night and a Halloween party.
