Bio:
I am a lifelong Meaford resident, IT professional, and committed community volunteer with more than 20 years of service to the town I proudly call home. From refereeing youth soccer, coaching local teams, and helping maintain community facilities to supporting civic initiatives, I have always believed in giving back to my community.
Professionally, I work as an IT Support Specialist helping maintain critical technology systems that support public safety. Prior to this role, I spent over a decade at the Army Base, managing technical operations at ATC-C Meaford and supporting IT projects for our Forces
My community involvement includes serving with the Meaford Kinsmen Club, volunteering at the local Repair Café, mentoring youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and contributing to the Pumped Storage Advisory Committee. These experiences have reinforced my belief that strong communities are built through collaboration, transparency, and active participation.
As Meaford faces new opportunities and challenges, I bring a practical, community-focused perspective grounded in real experience. My priorities are supporting local families, strengthening public services, and ensuring responsible growth that reflects the values and needs of Meaford residents.
Explain your primary reasons for your decision to seek election to Meaford council:
My primary drive to seek a council position is to lend my voice, perspective, and problem solving skills to the entire community. I have been fortunate enough to have a lot of members of Meaford help me grow into the person I am today and I think that has put me in a position where I can help guide our community through a complex and pivotal time.
In your view, what should be the top priorities for the council that is elected on October 26?
Managing the TCE file, shepherding the community through a major boom in development, and to ensure that our infrastructure needs don’t fall behind, and looking to bring industry back to Meaford. While at the same time improving community engagement and better communicating the Council’s decisions on all these items.
Explain the role of councillor as you understand it:
The primary role of any elected official is to listen to the community and represent those voices. Along with responsibilities that span such items as, setting policy and strategic direction, approve and oversee the annual budget, provide oversight on municipal staff, participate in advisory committees, and ensure accountability and transparency in municipal operations.
