Traffic Stop Leads to Charges

On Sunday, July 26, 2015 at approximately 10:06 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2002 Ford Explorer on Bayfield Street in the Municipality of Meaford after the licence plate on it was found to be registered to a 2000 Chrysler vehicle instead.

The driver, a 44-year old Meaford man, was issued Part III Summons for operating a motor vehicle without insurance under the Compulsory Insurance Act and use plate not authorized for vehicle and operate unsafe vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act.

He is schedule to appear in court in Owen Sound on August 31, 2015.
