Police Looking For Two Men After Youth Assaulted in Meaford

OPPLogoOn Friday, July 10, at approximately 1:21 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault which occurred on Thompson Street, Meaford, in the Municipality of Meaford.

Two boys, ages 12 and 14, were walking on Thompson Street when they came upon two older unknown males who began insulting them.  One of the suspects assaulted the 14 year old boy, knocking him to the ground.  They suspects then walked away.

The victim was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1: (Aggressor) Caucasian male, approximately 18-20 years old, black or brown hair, ‘scraggly beard’, wearing a hoodie.

Suspect 2: Caucasian male, approximately 18-20 years old, blonde hair, wearing an orange shirt with some white on it and blue jeans.
