Lena Landei Country Culture is a small market garden located on the west side of Owen Sound. Her vegetables are grown using natural and sustainable farming practices, abstaining from the use of pesticides and GMOs.
As a member of the Seed Saver Exchange, Lena wants to contribute to the preservation of the genetic diversity of our food crops. That is why she grows exclusively open pollinated varieties (non-hybrid), many of which are heritage varieties with a long history.
Besides vegetables, Lena also offers preserves, dried produce, vegetable seeds and plants, and seasonal cut flowers as well as custom butchered freezer lamb from her little flock of sheep. Lena sells her products at local farmers’ markets, she is a new vendor at the Meaford Farmers’ Market this year, and also offers the opportunity for people to become members in her CSA. As a member, you will receive a weekly share of vegetables throughout the season and in this way support local small scale farming.
Farm sustainably, eat healthy, buy local and think global!
