On April 12 and 13, thirteen members of the Meaford Skating Club spent the nicest weekend of the early spring season doing what they love – figure skating.
This was the culmination of their season, over which they worked very hard skating eight hours per week including at 6:45 am on Wednesday mornings.
“We are very proud to announce that their diligence has paid off. At the Central Ontario Section Fun Competition these thirteen girls competed against skaters from over 50 clubs and brought home a total of 18 well-earned medals,” said a club representative of the event.

Sara Wright: 2nd free-skate, 2nd solo dance, 1st couples dance, 5th team elements
