100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce Support Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters Grey Bruce are the recipients of the 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce’s largest donation to date.

On July 9, the 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce presented a cheque for $25,600, the culminating donation of their June meeting.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Beth Aubrey noted that she, her staff, and her Board were extremely grateful for this generous donation.

The organization has been serving local children, youth, and families for nearly 65 years. During that time, the agency has expanded its services, catchment, and most importantly, its impact. Today, the agency exists as a vital preventative service for youth, offering meaningful community, school, and group-based mentorship programs. The funds provided will directly support the many local children, youth, and families connected to the agency in Grey and Bruce counties.

The 100 Women Who Care continue to grow as a collective group of concerned, caring women making a positive impact on critical areas of need in our Grey Bruce community.

The organization meets four times per year, one hour each time, with a commitment of $100 per member at each meeting. If a member is unable to attend a meeting, a summary is provided so they can still make an informed decision and be involved in the voting process. It is simple, efficient and makes a significant contribution. It is a great way to meet new people, learn about charities/organizations in our local area and learn how your donation positively impacts our community. All donated funds stay in Grey Bruce and are used for projects or programming,” said organizers.
