Editor,
You (the author of March 3 letter, How Dare You Disgrace My Flag?) have an opinion, which I respect.
To say to those who want to protest, to leave their Canadian flags folded in a closet, and to fly one of those three flags YOU suggested is not what I want in Canada. To suggest that someone who maybe has suffered the past two years does not have the right to show their Canadian flag, is not that the Canada I want.
Maybe I should take my flag down from my flagpole and put it in the closet. Division is not what I want in this country. We have bigger problems at our doorstep, and the failure of politicians to see that, is unimaginable.
Come April 1st of federal politicians will get a pay raise, and increase the carbon tax on gas. Yet those trying to make ends meet is shameful.
