Dear Editor,
As usual, I had a good chuckle, when I read Bruce Mason’s latest letter. He wants the municipal candidates to give a show of hands if they have studied the Pumped Storage Project. As if this is going to help voters make an informed decision.
In the previous election, there were candidates that campaigned against pumped storage and did an immediate 180 degree turnaround once they got elected.
He is also concerned that Justin Perks has not announced his position on pumped storage. Council members should leave their personal positions at home. They are elected to carry out the wishes of their constituents. This election should include a referendum vote on the ballot. Do you support pumped storage, yes or no? Majority still rules in Canada. This nonsense has lingered on for far too long already.
Regards,
Tony Primo, Meaford
