The Municipality of Meaford is wishing everyone a very happy National AccessAbility Week.
Throughout this week, we will be profiling current and ongoing accessibility efforts in our Municipality. We’re starting off with Meaford Moves+, our accessible, door-to-door bus service that Municipal residents who have a disability or mobility challenge may be eligible for. A disability or mobility challenge includes but is not limited to a physical, sensory, cognitive or mental health disability.
Meaford Moves+ takes it riders where they need to go, including: medical or professional appointments, work, shopping, and visiting with friends. Members are welcome to bring along up to three companions to ride with them. If your healthcare provider is out of town, trips to Collingwood, Thornbury, or Owen Sound for medical appointments are also available. Rates are $2 for in-town rides, and $8 for out of town trips.
Signing up is easy. For an application form, visit www.meaford.ca/transit, or call 519-538-1060 ext. 1100 for a hardcopy.
