Staff of the Municipality of Meaford are mourning the sudden passing of fellow staff member, Nicolas Burt.
“It is with the utmost sadness that staff of the Municipality of Meaford acknowledges the loss of our dear friend and colleague Nicolas Burt. Nick was a valued member of the Municipality’s team, working as the Project Manager, Facilities in the Community Services department. Nick was crucial to the construction of the new Meaford Public Library, ensuring that the community can enjoy that facility for many years to come,” said the municipality in a media release issued on Monday afternoon. “Nick always had a smile to share and was universally liked by those he worked with. Although Nick was extremely diligent and dedicated to his work, his greatest role was as a husband to wife Stephanie and father to daughter Jovie. Our thoughts are with Nick’s family at this tragic time.”

All municipal facilities will be closed to the public on Friday, August 12, 2022 to allow staff members to attend the memorial service for Nick, and mourn this loss to our community.
