The Municipality of Meaford will be celebrating Canada Day virtually this year, and you can join in by visiting www.meaford.ca/CanadaDay, where you will find fun and activities for the whole family.
The Municipality of Meaford has received a grant in the amount of $4,680 from the Ministry of Canadian Heritage for the 2021 Canada Day celebrations.
“This year is a special one! We are providing a virtual Canada Day celebration and working with many different local Meaford partners to deliver made-in-Meaford experiences,” said Jennifer Brebner, Special Events and Marketing Coordinator.
These festivities are available through the Meaford website and include music, family activities, how-to videos, and more. There will also be a flag-raising via live-stream at 10 a.m. on July 1, including special award presentations from the Meaford Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.
“We are excited to celebrate Canada’s 153rd after cancelling the event last year. This year we will celebrate virtually,” said Janet Sperling, Manager of Strategic Initiatives.
“You can take part by showing off your Canada Day spirit and telling us why you Love It Here on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Post your best photo and favourite things about Meaford using #LiveLoveMeaford, and you could win a local prize pack!” said the Municipality.
