What’s the matter with kids today?
Absolutely nothing! Just ask the Meaford Theatre Company volunteers, director, and even more importantly, the parents of the Youth Program.
“Never did we expect to witness so many positive outcomes when our daughter joined the program! Her positive attitude and enthusiasm about all the things that goes on behind the scenes to produce a play is so rewarding. We hope the whole community will attend their performance of Little Red-The Riding Hood and see magic happen,” said the father of one of the participants.
The 24 kids from the Company have been working on the play, Little Red-The Riding Hood, up to three times per week since September, guided by wonderful volunteer coaches Brittany Knight, Esther Boles, and Kim Ransom.
As the youth troop has been preparing for their performance, the many talented MTC volunteers created a magical mystical land including moving trees and fanciful character masks. The wardrobe and make-up volunteers cleverly fashioned costumes that support the wonderful and familiar story of Little Red Riding Hood and her fairytale friends who embark on a wild hilarious adventure.
