Meaford Theatre Company to Present Self Help by Norm Foster

There has to be something better than the Moonlight Theatre in Flin Flon, Manitoba, for the two failing actors Cindy and Hal Savage. I mean, it’s only acting… right?

Norm Foster does it again with a rip-roaring funny play that captures the transformation of Cindy and Hal Savage from failing actors to successful and wealthy Self Help gurus. Their journey to stardom has been meteoric but not without some bumps along the way.

A ditsy maid stirs the pot while the local cop tries to uncover the disappearance of the neighbourhood gardener and a nosy investigative reporter is after the goods on the self-help duo.

The Meaford Theatre Company is well under way in the production of this hilarious play. Having just finished directing a play for the Thornbury Theatre group, Bryan James has come across to Meaford to apply his many talents to this production. You might have enjoyed his work with our production of Ladies Foursome a couple of years ago. The highly experienced cast includes Jason Whaley as Hal, Kelly Ward as Cindy, Jensen as Bernice, Leslie Ransom as Ruby, Jake McArthur as Snow, and Andy Dumas as Jeremy.

This is a show not to be missed. It runs April 18/19/20 and 25/26/27 with curtain at 7:30 p.m. It all takes place in the inviting Woodford Hall. Tickets are $25 and available at Craig’s Gallery Meaford and Eventbrite.com and at the door.
