Make the Most Out of Your Retirement

Thinking about retirement can be a daunting task. Get help from Amanda Martin, a Financial Educator with Credit Counselling Society. They will be offering a free, virtual, three part series beginning Thursday, August 5 at 6 pm with the Meaford Public Library.

The first session “10 Steps to Retire Without Debt” is on Thursday, August 5 at 6 pm. It will feature why more Canadians are retiring with debt, identifying the sources of income you will have in retirement, and creating a plan to retire without debt.

The next session will be “Living Well on Retirement Income” on Thursday, September 16 at 6 pm. Topics will include identifying the challenges of living on a fixed income, identifying ways to increase your income and decrease your expenses, and recognizing who in your life is costing you money.

Finally, the third session is “Death, Taxes and Beyond” on Tuesday, October 19 at 6 pm which will include organizing your finances, defining the purpose of an executor and creating an estate plan.
