Get Involved in the 2025 Municipal Budget

The Municipality of Meaford would like to hear from the community as they prepare the 2025 Municipal Budget. There are several opportunities for input throughout the process.

1. Complete the 2025 Municipal Budget survey. The survey is available at Meaford.ca/2025BudgetSurvey. The survey will be open from Monday, August 19 to Sunday, September 15. The survey can be completed online at home, at the Municipal Office at 21 Trowbridge Street West, or at the Meaford Public Library at 11 Sykes Street North for those in need of assistance.
2. Submit your budget questions. You can ask your questions by emailing budgets@meaford.ca, calling 519-538-1060 ext. 1167, or by dropping by the Municipal Office at 21 Trowbridge Street West, during regular hours of operation (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
3. Participate in public budget meetings. Meetings are open to the public and you can attend in person at Council Chambers located at 157859, 7th Line, Meaford or watch on the municipal YouTube channel at Meaford.ca/YouTube. To register to speak in person or virtually at a meeting, email deputyclerk@meaford.ca or call 519-538-1060 ext. 1110. Meeting dates and times are subject to change, stay up to date by checking Meaford.ca/Budgets.

Tabling of Draft 2025 Fees and Charges:
Date: Monday, October 7, from 1 – 5 p.m.

Tabling of Draft Budget and Presentation of 2025 Tax Supported Operating and Capital Budgets:
Date: Monday, November 4, from 1 – 3 p.m.

Statutory Public Meeting (Special Meeting of Council) Fees and Charges:
Date: Monday, November 4, at 5 p.m.

Council Budget Day – Capital and Enhancements:
Date: Thursday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Final Considerations/Additional Deliberation of Draft Budget:
Date: Tuesday, November 19, 3 p.m.

Statutory Public Meeting (Special Meeting of Council):
Date: Monday, November 25, 5 p.m.

Final Approval of 2025 Budgets:
Date: Monday, December 9, 1 p.m.

4. Provide your feedback to Council. Email all members of Council directly using council@meaford.ca.
