Got accidentally caught in the middle of a ‘protest convoy’ leaving Owen Sound eastbound around noon Saturday.
The fools were stop and start, and then going between 10 and 25 kmh.
A bunch of flag-flying yahoos in small trucks, SUVs, cars.
Don’t know what their “problem” still is, since most restrictions are over, but I’m pretty sure the median IQ in Owen Sound went up a few points when they left.
It appeared to be about 1-1.5 kms long. No way to pass on the double lanes in case we got frozen out to the left.
We got off 26 at Woodford and took the Derry Line back to Meaford.
I hear they turned around when they got to Meaford. There have been little malcontent mini-gatherings on several weekends in Meaford, apparently fully tolerated by the OPP.
We saw no cruisers on Hwy 26 during the parade…highly unusual for a Saturday…Gee, I wonder why not!
We pay around 2 million a year for policing, and violations of the Highway Traffic Act by individuals seem to be enforced, but is this somehow OK?
(Don’t know if any Federal Conservative MPs were riding in the trucks.)
The only “freedom convoys” right now are the brave souls trying to get weapons, food and medical aid into Ukraine. These troglodyte idiots in Canada are beneath contempt, and have zero brains or class.
