Construction at 4th Canadian Division Training Centre in Meaford

The Commanding Officer of the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre (4 CDTC) has advised of ongoing construction activities at 4 CDTC, Meaford.

4 CDTC recognizes the importance of community cooperation. Without the support of local communities, military members would not be able to accomplish their mission. Local communities provide key supports and services to military members that are necessary and appreciated. Activities on base occasionally impact the local area. While this may be unavoidable at times, 4 CDTC appreciates the understanding of local residents and does not underestimate this very important reciprocal relationship,” said the Commanding Officer.

Contractors will be present on 4 CDTC grounds to conduct construction to return to full service and improve training areas for the Training Centre. This project will create critical infrastructure that will enable safe and effective training to continue at 4 CDTC. This construction is currently underway and will continue until September/October 2025. It will typically be conducted between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday; however, extended hours of construction may occur.

Local Meaford residents may notice an increase in noise and heavy trucks/traffic in the area surrounding the Training Centre.
