CMHA Grey Bruce welcomes the return of its annual Christmas Store, a cherished tradition that brings joy, dignity, and holiday cheer to those we support. This year’s Christmas Store will take place on Thursday, December 4, in Owen Sound.
The Christmas Store gives CMHA Grey Bruce clients the opportunity to ‘shop’ at no cost for gifts for their loved ones. A team of cheerful elves will welcome guests, help them select gifts and wrap them so they are ready to be placed under the tree.
“This event helps make the holidays brighter for the people we support. It gives them the chance to take part in the tradition of gift giving and to feel the excitement and pride that comes with choosing something special for someone they care about,” said Kim McMahon, Human Resources Coordinator and Holiday Elf at CMHA Grey Bruce.
Organizers are inviting the community to help make this magical day possible. They are seeking new unwrapped gifts suitable for all ages, interests, and genders. Items like toys, books, warm clothing, personal care items, household essentials, and accessories are all appreciated. Gift wrap, gift bags, and tape are also welcome.

The Christmas Store supports CMHA Grey Bruce clients who may be facing financial hardship or isolation during the holidays. Beyond the gifts, the event offers warmth, connection, and the feeling of being part of a community that cares.
