The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce has been selected to receive a grant from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, enabling the launch of Waves of Opportunity, a 16-week Lifeguard and Instructor Training Program designed to remove financial and systemic barriers for youth aged 13 to 25 who face challenges accessing sport-based employment and leadership opportunities. On Saturday, January 17, five of the Georgian Bay Coyotes athletes trekked to the Toronto Track and Field centre to take part in the Flying Angels NextGen Indoor Championships.
