I am writing to congratulate Jen Brebner and all those who participated in this year’s Canada events at the harbour on Friday, July 1.
This was, by far, one of the best municipal events I have had the pleasure of attending. There was lots to do and see for people of all ages and there were plenty of people out to enjoy it all. As Special Events Co-ordinator, I feel Jen has done an exemplary job of bringing everything together and making, what started out to be a rainy day, one of the best Canada Day celebrations ever.
I know there were people who were disappointed with the lack of fireworks, which was noticed, but there were enough other things to see and do that entertained everyone I spoke with.
