A Royal Affair with Jennifer Robson

The Meaford Public Library will present Canadian historical fiction author Jennifer Robson on Saturday, September 23 at 2 p.m. in the Meaford Hall Galleries.

Jennifer Robson has an academic background – studying Modern History at King’s University College at Western University, then at Saint Antony’s College at the University of Oxford where she was a Commonwealth Scholar and SSHRC Doctoral Fellow. She is the author of several bestsellers including The Gown, Goodnight from London, Our Darkest Night, and many more World War I & II historical fiction novels.

Robson will be speaking about her latest book, Coronation Year. The novel, set in 1953, is based around the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. While the people of London are in a mood to celebrate, there are anonymous threats that terrorize the joyous occasion.

The event will be in an interview style with Susanne Wussow of The Meaford Independent acting as host, and will include complimentary snacks and a cash bar. Copies of the book will be available to purchase, courtesy of Jessica’s Book Nook. Cash, credit, or debit accepted.

Tickets are selling fast! Purchase yours in advance for $5 at the Meaford Public Library.
