Meaford Legion Branch 32 presented a cheque in the amount of $8,500 on behalf of the Ontario Command Charitable Foundation to the Meaford Hospital Foundation on Friday March 9.
Steve Rice and Martin Riordan represented the Legion for the cheque presentation to the hospital foundation’s Barbara Little and Jen Wright, along with hospital staff Rebecca Wuerth-Sarvis and Dr. Natalie Sauriol.
The funds will be used to purchase two pieces of equipment – a tonometer, used to test eye pressures, and a CO2 insulfflator used by anesthesiologists.
“Thank you very much, we appreciate it, because it’s going to be used,” offered Dr. Sauriol.
