Obituary
Clayton Moore 1928-2017
Born in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Dawson and Laura (nee McIvor) Moore passed away Aug 31, 2017. Surrounded by his loving wife of sixty four years and his children, at Meaford Long Term Care.
Clayton was the beloved husband of Shirley (nee McBrien), the cherished father of Sheri Moore, Meaford, Corleen (Greg) DaCorte, Denver, James Moore, Meaford and the late David Moore.
Dear Grandfather of Danielle (Matt) Perkin and Kyle (Susie) DaCorte, all of Denver.
Clayton is also survived by a brother-in-law, Lloyd Walker of LaSalle, ON. Predeceased by sisters, Colleen Llewellyn and Coral Moore.
After their marriage, Clayton and Shirley spent several years in California, moving back to Ontario in 1962.
Upon retirement, Clayton and Shirley enjoyed many winters in Arizona and Texas and the rest of the year at their home on South Georgian Beach; where Clayton loved to work in his bush.
Cremation has taken place and a private committal service planned.
A Celebration of Clayton’s long and happy life will be held at the Gardiner – Wilson Funeral Home, Meaford, Wednesday, Sept.13. Visitation 1-2pm –service 2-3pm.
If so desired, and as your expression of sympathy, donations to the Meaford Hospital or Meaford Health Clinic may be made.
