It’s that time of the year again – flu shot season! Join Muxlow Pharmasave pharmacist Stephanie O’Krafka at the Meaford Public Library on Wednesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. for an information session about how vaccinations can help protect you against certain viruses and infections.
O’Krafka says, “It’s not just about you, it’s about immunity for the community. By getting vaccinated against the flu, you could be protecting a loved one who may be more vulnerable to the severe complications of influenza.”
At the November 9 Pharmacy Talk, O’Krafka will discuss the flu shots, debunk myths, and offer additional strategies on how to protect yourself from becoming infected. An annual vaccination is the best protection against influenza. Other topics to be discussed during the Pharmacy Talk will include shingles and pneumonia.
Influenza vaccinations are now available at Muxlow Pharmasave, and no appointment is necessary for anyone over five years old. The shots are free of charge for those with an Ontario Health Card.
This is a free event, however space is limited. Please register at the Meaford Public Library in advance. For more information, please email info@meafordlibrary.on.ca or call 519-538-1060 ext. 1123.
