On October 14, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) issued a summons under the Trespass to Property Act to a 14 year-old Meaford youth after he was found trespassing on private property on Trowbridge Street West in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police were called after the victim observed the youth enter his property at approximately 7:45 a.m. on the morning of October 14. The youth fled the scene when confronted by the homeowner. A shed on the property had been damaged on two separate occasions in the previous week by unknown person(s).
The youth, who is known to police, is scheduled to appear in Youth Justice Court in Owen Sound on November 28 to answer to the charge.
