Congratulations to Meaford resident Glen McCrabb for completing a full ‘Iron Man’ triathlon on June 18 in New York State. This is truly an amazing feat, as it involves a 3.86 km swim, a 180.25 km bike ride followed by a full running marathon of 42.16 km.
Glen is a lifelong resident of Meaford and former owner of Meaford Foodland. Glen trained for three years in order to compete in this event and it is a testament to dedication, will, and perseverance. Very few people have completed this race. He came first in his age group, and completed the course in just over 15 hours, well under the cut off of 17 hours. Well done!
