The burn ban issued by the Meaford and District Fire Department on June 23rd has been lifted, but due to continued dry conditions the following restrictions will remain in place:

All fires must be kept smaller than 2ft by 2ft

Residents must refrain from setting off personal fireworks, and instead are asked to attend one of the community fireworks displays tonight in Annan, or tomorrow in either Bognor or Meaford.
“Acting Fire Chief Scott Granahan would like to thank residents for their cooperation, and urges everyone to continue to follow safety practices such as keeping a means of extinguishment on hand during campfires, not leaving fires unattended, and ensuring they are thoroughly extinguished,” said the municipality.
