On April 29, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to report of a fire outside an apartment on Victoria Street in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police attended and found that a brand new BBQ, which had not been hooked up to propane, caught fire causing damage to the exterior of the building. The Meaford Fire Department attended and determined that the fire was suspicious although the exact cause was not immediately known.
The tenant was not home at the time of the incident. There were no injuries reported.
