Laurie was the son of Colin Emerson Bennett of Meaford and Mary Dorothy Tindale of Toronto.
Laurie leaves his beloved wife Patricia of 60 years and their three children Suzanne Coates (Scott) of Toronto, Chris (Jelena) of Tiny Township, and Scott (Janet) of Mississauga. Grumpa to cherished grandchildren Michael (Kassandra), Jenna (Jake), John, Hailey, Neleah, Nikol, Carmen and to great-grandchild Freya. Dear brother to sisters Mary Ellen Norwood (Bob) and Cynthia Watson (deceased) and brother-in-law to Dennis Watson, Bob (deceased) and Mary Gower and Wendy and Peter [deceased] Hogan.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Laurie’s Life will follow in The Galleries at the Meaford Hall from 12 until 4 p.m., all are welcome to come to share stories and refreshments.
