Kitchener-Waterloo based builder Sinclair Homes will host a grand opening of their first model home for the Baybounds development in Meaford. The grand opening will be held on June 27, and will introduce their master-planned, net-zero community “designed to expand housing opportunities while supporting, sustainable, energy-efficient living and long-term economic growth in the region.”
Located at 2 Driftwood Lane, Sinclair Homes said that Baybounds is one of the first developments of its kind in the area, bringing new housing options to the municipality. The project is expected to contribute new investment to the region while creating employment opportunities through local trades, suppliers, and service providers, according to the builder.
“Baybounds represents more than a new neighbourhood; it is an investment in Meaford’s future,” said Dan Sinclair of Sinclair Homes. “This community has been designed to provide attainable homeownership opportunities while supporting sustainable growth, local economic development, and year-round living in one of Ontario’s most desirable recreational regions.”
The development will feature a mix of housing options, including town-homes, bungalow town-homes, and future mixed-use residential buildings with ground-floor commercial space. Residents will have access to a variety of shared amenities, including pickleball courts, an exercise facility, clubhouse, meeting and technology spaces, outdoor gathering areas, walking and cycling trails, and other community-focused features.
“As a certified net-zero community, Baybounds is designed to reduce energy consumption and support long-term housing affordability through sustainable building practices and access to green financing programs. Homes currently start from $566,372, including applicable builder incentives and HST rebates,” said the builder.
Situated within walking distance of South Georgian Bay and a short drive from local shops, restaurants, healthcare services, schools, and recreational amenities, Sinclair Homes said that the community is positioned to serve a range of home buyers, including first-time purchasers, down-sizers, retirees, and those seeking a four-season vacation home in the region.
The grand opening event will take place on June 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the model home, view community plans and amenity renderings, meet representatives from Sinclair Homes, and learn more about the vision for Baybounds.
“The development represents an investment of $150 million and is expected to support continued growth and economic activity in Meaford for years to come,” said the builder.
