Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in Grey County can now apply for the 2026 Starter Company Plus program. Funded by the Province of Ontario and delivered locally by the Grey County Business Enterprise Centre, Starter Company Plus is a training and mentorship program for entrepreneurs over the age of 18 who are not returning to school.
The program begins in May with hands-on business training and skills development along with mentorship from local business leaders. Upon completing the training, participants present their business plans to a review committee and may be selected to receive a grant of up to $5,000 to assist with startup and expansion costs.
