It is with a heavy heart that I announce the peaceful passing of my husband, Albert Gobbo, on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Albert was born on January 31, 1939 in Verona, Italy, and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his brother and mother.
Albert was a Registered Denture Technician. He and his brother Flavio Gobbo had a partnership and owned Dental Prosthetics Laboratory. Later as a Registered Denture Therapist he had practices in Toronto and Thornbury. Albert was known for his skill and dedication, bringing smiles to countless faces. He was an outdoor enthusiast and found relaxation in sailing, diving, skiing, tennis, kayaking, and hiking. Albert had a great desire to travel and experience many different landscapes and cultures.
Albert will be missed dearly by his wife of 45 years, Linda Gobbo; his sister-in-law Isabella Gobbo, brothers-in-law Paul McCarthy (Karen), Brian McCarthy, and Michael O’Brien (Joan).
He was predeceased by his mother, Maria Lonardi Gobbo, his brother Flavio, and sister-in-law Janice McCarthy. Albert will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
The family is very appreciative of the care and support received from Dr. M. Newton of Brightshores, VON, and Ontario Home Health.
As per Albert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
