Modern pop music hits from artist like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Pink, and more will be performed by a string quartet in a very unique concert experience inspired by the hit Netflix series Bridgerton.
The Georgian Bay Symphony is presenting The Queen’s Quartet: a Bridgerton-inspired concert at the Harmony Centre Owen Sound on Saturday, April 26. There will be something in this fun concert for everyone.
The concert will feature the Thomas Beard and Friends String Quartet composed of young professional musicians from the Montreal music scene, including local Huron county cellist Thomas Beard, who has had the privilege of playing with the Georgian Bay Symphony on several occasions. They are looking forward to sharing this program with an Owen Sound audience and help raise money for the Symphony and all its activities.
“You’ve got the aesthetic of the 1800s with music that people all know and love and hear on the radio all the time,” said Beard. “It’s music that we enjoy playing. It’s just really fun music. It’s not your typical string quartet concert, that’s for sure. They’re really creative arrangements for these songs, and we’re pretty excited to share them.”
