The Women’s Centre Grey Bruce is hosting an Afternoon Tea Party on Thursday, August 1, at Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Centre, from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person which includes tea with scones, sandwiches, mini desserts, with a silent auction and a 50/50 draw.
“I am so excited to announce and be a part of this new fundraising event for The Women’s Centre. It is part of our strategic plan to build on community partnerships and have more of a presence in Meaford. Planning this type of initiative will help get the word out about our programs and services to support women, children, and at-risk youth. Our Afternoon Tea Party fundraiser embodies our commitment to community and compassion. Every cup of Passion Fruit Green Tea or Earl Grey supports our mission to be an innovative, caring leader in providing secure shelter, crisis intervention, safety planning, counselling, and transition services for women, children, and youth affected by abuse in Grey and Bruce Counties. As a lifelong tea enthusiast, I’m thrilled to be a part of this event,” said Heather Sheldrick, Executive Director with The Women’s Centre.
