Mark your calendars, the Scarecrow Invasion is back for another season. This year’s Invasion will celebrate the former Town of Meaford’s 150th anniversary and the Scarecrows are already busy preparing for this special event.
As always, the Invasion will take place from mid-September to mid-October with the Parade, Family Festival, and Apple Pie Contest happening on October 4 this year. Parade entry forms are already available on the updated scarecrow website, scarecrowinvasion.ca, so get your thinking caps on and start planning your parade entries.
This year’s invasion will again feature a business display competition and residential scarecrow contest, as well as some fresh activities and offerings for the Festival.
Volunteers are urgently needed for several positions. Please check out the website under “Get Involved” or contact info@scarecrowinvasion.com. Anyone interested is welcome to attend a monthly team meeting to see if joining the Scarecrows feels like a good fit for them.
