Editor,
Did I miss the day that most of the provincial issues of affordability of food, shelter healthcare, and other basics needs of life are all pretty much solved?
I’m so glad that Doug Ford has focused on the next major Ontario problem by bullying the LCBO into re-introducing paper bags.
Articles about this ridiculous “initiative” seem to focus on what the LCBO outlets charge for re-usable bags. Who needs them?
I can actually afford a 50 cent Dollarama bag that lasts a long, long time. I also have the basic cognitive ability to remember to take the bag into the LCBO when I shop. It would seem that supporters of Doug Ford cannot deal with such onerous requirements, and need Doug to protect them.
Note to those who cannot afford a 50 cent bag; you can likely scoop a free one at the Mission Thrift Store in Owen Sound.
