The Municipality of Meaford wants to hear what you would like to see at McCarroll Park.
Meaford Council has directed staff to prepare a new master plan for McCarroll Park to ensure it continues to be maintained and improved for future generations to enjoy. As the current equipment and infrastructure reaches the end of its useful life, the Master Plan will provide a preliminary layout for the park based on public feedback, land use requirements, and best practices for park development. These plans take several months to develop, and several years to implement before construction begins.
“We’re relying on the feedback of our park users to make sure those of us who love McCarroll Park have a say in its future,” said Manager of Parks and Facilities Rod Willis. “McCarroll Park has a long history in our community, with many contributions from service clubs and businesses over the years making it what it is today.”
Three design options that have been developed for McCarroll Park to use as a starting point for public comments. As you review the design suggestions, please keep in mind that you don’t need to choose one design over another; there may be elements from each that you like or dislike, and we want to hear what’s important to you and your family.
The survey will be available until June 30, 2021. The survey results and draft plan will then be reviewed by the Parks Advisory Committee for their feedback before proceeding to Council for approval.
