OPP Investigating Chainsaws and Road Paint

On Tuesday, August 5, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a theft report from the Holland-Sydenham Town Line in the Municipality of Meaford.

Sometime between Friday, August 1 and Monday, August 4, 2014, a Husqvarna 40 and Stihl 38 chainsaw were taken from the back of the victim’s pick-up truck which had been parked, about 200 feet from the roadway, on his property.

Also on Tuesday August 5, a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol observed fresh paint that had been deposited across the east bound lane of Grey Rd. 18, about 1.5 km east of Rockford in the Municipality of Meaford.

The camouflage green colour paint, which was deposited on the roadway by unknown person(s), is the fourth incident of this type to have occurred in the same vicinity since last July.

Anyone with information as to the suspect vehicle or person(s) responsible for this act of mischief is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
