Driver Charged With Impaired Driving

On Monday, November 10, at approximately 7:58 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a motor vehicle on Collingwood Street in the Municipality of Meaford after the vehicle was observed weaving within its lane.

The driver of the vehicle, a 2002 Ford Escape, was found to have been drinking alcohol.  After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Meaford OPP Detachment for further breath tests.

The 39 year old Meaford man was charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
